Our Community Partnerships
The Venture Mentoring Team is the connective tissue that bonds experienced mentors with incubator programs, accelerator programs, co-working spaces, educational programs, angel investors, venture capitalists and other community partners whose missions align with ours. Our role is to grow strong connections with our community partners, creating positive impact across both the local and national business landscapes.

We support our Community Partners and help them build programs that are maximally effective.
We assist minority-owned small business owners and help them make operational, tactical and strategic decisions that support their growth and help them achieve needed financing.
We identify startups that meet the criteria of the investors in our orbit and facilitate introductions when the companies we mentor are ready for them.
Programs that provide grants to startups and small businesses are eager to engage with the VMT for the significant extra value we provide — expert mentoring from successful corporate and entrepreneurial professionals representing every arena of the business world.
The VMT’s proven program is worth far more to startups and small businesses than grant dollars alone. That is why corporate programs such as Office Depot’s Elevate Together and Target Corporation’s Forward Founders Accelerator partner with us. Funding is impactful but mentoring combined with funding is a true force multiplier. Corporate dollars are better spent, and powerful business impact is achieved.

Partner with The VMT
The Venture Mentoring Team acts as the connective tissue in the communities we serve, bringing together community organizations, educational institutions, incubators, accelerator programs, angel investors, and venture capital. Through our efforts, each of these entities interface with one another via a business ecosystem that benefits all parties.
Investors
The VMT partners with Angel Investors and VCs to create deal flow within the investor community.
Incubators, Accelerators, Colleges & Universities
VMT Certified Mentors support local programs as facilitators, specialty mentors, facilitators, and lecturers. Our mentors are trained, certified and complete a background check.
Community Organizations
The VMT aligns with the missions of community organizations and develops training to augment the existing Business Development programs of our community partners and continue the learning path for the startups and small businesses.
